Introduction

The run down dormitory of the Railway Bureau located on the south side of Yilan Railway Station was renovated into a public art exhibit. The exhibit draws from Jimmy's The Starry Starry Night, The Sound of Colors, and Turn Left, Turn Right to present the concepts of "travel" and "scenes and sights in life" through public art installations. In the following year, the forest train and Starry Train exhibits were also added. The three exhibits near Yilan Railway Station together form what is now known as the "Yilan Jimmy Liao Cultural Corridor."

Jimmy Square

The concept of the flying bus from The Starry Starry Night is deconstructed into 2D graphics, relief carvings, and 3D installations to form a whimsical flying vehicle that carries our imagination of flight. The art, the area, and the travelers passing by all blend together to form an ever-moving illustration with the trees, houses, plants, and the old dormitory building.
